Privacy

What we collect

• Your answers to the guidance questions you choose to answer (e.g. "are you 18 or older") — these stay in your browser's local storage, on your device, and are not sent to our servers.
• Privacy-safe usage analytics: which page you're on, which workflow you started, which question you're at, whether a plan was generated, and whether you clicked through to an official site. These are tracked as anonymous events, not tied to your name or contact details.
• Optional feedback text you choose to type in, if you submit feedback after a plan.
• If you join the waitlist for an upcoming feature (like Approval Probability™): your email address, used only to notify you when that feature launches. We don't use it for anything else.

What we never collect

• Your Aadhaar number or PAN number
• Uploaded identity documents (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, bank statements, proof of address)
• Your full home address or exact date of birth (we ask eligibility questions like "are you 18 or older?" instead)
• Login credentials for any government portal

AI processing

Swikaar's guidance rules are written and verified by humans against official sources, not generated by AI. Where we use an AI model at all, it is only to help match a vague description to a known question flow — it never invents eligibility rules, documents, fees, or government URLs, and it never receives your Aadhaar or PAN number.

Third parties

We use PostHog for privacy-safe product analytics and (optionally) an error-monitoring service to catch bugs. None of these receive identity documents or government ID numbers from us. Links to official government portals take you to those portals directly — their own privacy policies apply once you're there.

Retention & deletion

Workflow answers live only in your browser's local storage — clearing your browser data deletes them. You can also use "Start over" on any plan page to clear that workflow's saved answers. Analytics events are retained in aggregate for product improvement. Waitlist email addresses are kept only until we email you about the feature you signed up for, or until you ask us to delete them.
